What are B2B Web Services?

By subscribing to the B2B .NET Web Services you are able to create password protected, personalized websites for all your customers. This allows your customers to place orders themselves as well as maintain and monitor all their order details. AdvancePro will also allow you to specify Customer Specific pricing by discount, markup or actual price.

Upon entry into the B2B customer website, customers will immediately view featured products that you have specifically assigned to them. You also have the ability to override all "specific" featured products and show "general" featured products to all customers. This will allow you to push particular items that may be in stock or on special promotion.

Key Points:

Once you have assigned a user name and password to your customer, they can access their personalized B2B website, and can:

View products specifically assigned to them
Review orders, order status and order history
Customers can update their account details online, this will be synchronized and downloaded into AdvancePro

Browse product categories and subcategories or search your database for specific product names or SKUs

How do B2B Web Services work?

Whenever you make a change within AdvancePro, AdvancePro will notify you that you have data to synchronize. Simply click the "synchronize" button and your AdvancePro application will be synchronized with your website. At the same time, any customer orders placed on your website will be downloaded into AdvancePro and viewable from the Customers/View All Customer Orders form.

Below is some more detailed information as to how it "really" works.

After signing up for web services,
the main B2B Web Services switchboard
will be enabled in AdvancePro.

Enable products to display on your B2B website by checking the "Sell on B2B website" checkbox. You can customize the product description specifically for your B2B website.

Give customers access to your B2B website by checking the "Enable as B2B Customer" checkbox and assigning them with a username and password. They will not be able to view the website without logging in first.

From your B2B switchboard you can do the following:

Use the Web Settings form to enter the number of display rows of products to appear on the site within a category.

Use the Product/Category Reorder Appearance form to reorder the appearance of products within a category or the appearance of how categories are displayed down the left of your site.

Order of categories

Use the Featured Products form to apply "featured products" and "best sellers" to your home page PER customer (each customer could have different featured products - this way you customize the website according to your customers interests.)

You can also use this form to totally hide a category on the website from a particular customer.

View and manage your customer orders from the Customer Switchboard in AdvancePro.

Your customers can view their order status from the website

What about my static pages? (i.e. about us, customer service etc.)

To get started with your B2B website you will provide us with your company colors, your logo and the information for your static pages such as "about us" and "customer service". We'll design your website template for you. You can also have up to 6 advertisements that are displayed down the right hand side of your site promoting special offers and pushing products that you may put on sale.

Everything else is done through your AdvancePro application.
